Tasting note
A conversation-starter, this award-winning wine -- from an established Aussie winery -- is made from 100% Petit Verdot, a rare grape more traditionally used in Bordeaux blends. Your guests will love its heady cherry-chocolate and mocha flavours, especially with rack of lamb.
This dry, full-bodied and woody red displays a complex and intense nose. On the palate, its refreshing acidity, fleshy tannins, and broad texture precede a long finish.
Expect a huge sweet, black fruit nose and plenty of American oak vanilla undertones. The palate is warm and dense with more black fruit and spice and a touch of heat…With some rich tannin still lingering. Pairs with barbecued lamb, steak or ribs.
