Tasting note
The name Sasseo (SAH-say-oh) means 'stony' and is a nod to the vineyard in which this wine was grown. It's a big, ripe and smooth Primitivo offering bright cherry, plum and blueberry fruit with dashes of dark chocolate, coffee, earth and spice adding intrigue. A ribbon of bright acidity provides a balanced finish. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2016)
