Tasting note
Bright, pale lemon-green colour; aromas of gooseberry, lemon and honey comb; dry, fresh acidity and light to medium-bodied; flavours of gooseberry, white pepper, melon and lime; medium finish.
Bright greenish yellow with a broad range of aromas such as mineral notes along with citrus and tropical fruit including pink grapefruit and pineapple. The refreshing, well-balanced palate shows its impressive acidity and long finish.
This Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from our vineyards in the Leyda Valley. Cool sea breezes from the Pacific Ocean blow through this newly discovered wine region to counter balance its otherwise dry climate. Its rolling hillsides are as close as 5 km from the salty waters, and it is separated by the Coastal Range in the west, which we are proud to offer reserva wines from Estate vineyards in Chile's most compelling appellations. Taste the power and elegance of place. It leaves it isolated and makes it a unique place for viticulture. The cool conditions and long ripening periods make it an ideal place for Sauvignon Blanc, yielding wines with crisp and lean acidity.
MARCH 2014 Insider Pick from Stephen Schiedel, Portfolio Manager for Wines of Canada, USA and South America: "The refreshing qualities of Sauvignon Blanc make it a great match with many kinds of menu. From Chile you can get this top coastal vineyard source from the delicious 2013 vintage for an incredible price. Stock up as this is a great deal."
