A firm and flavorful chardonnay with sliced apples, minerals and hints of new wood. Full body, structured and intense. Barrel fermented, small amount of malolactic fermentation and aged nine months in barrel. Drink now or hold. Score - 92. (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, June 20, 2014)

Santa Rita Medalla Real Chardonnay has an intense, brilliant yellow color with slight hues of lime green. In the nose, its magnificent bouquet is a complex aroma of fragrant tropical fruits and sweet vanilla notes. On the palate, the fine balance between acidity and fruitiness is wonderfully highlighted by its lush tropical notes. An elegant and subtle touch of wood provides an opulent persistence to this outstanding wine.
