Tasting note
The 2013 The Brothers Sauvignon Blanc has a pretty nose of orange and lime blossoms, lemongrass, grapefruit juice and wild thyme plus a hint of wet pebbles. Medium-bodied and showing a very good intensity and lovely freshness, it concludes with a long, mineral-laced finish. Drink: 2014-2017. Score - 89. (Lisa Perrotti-Brown, MW, robertparker.com, Dec. 2014)
This wine is all about purity, focus, elegance and concentration. Iconic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc aromas are to the fore with cut grass and dried herb blending with grapefruit, guava and flinty river stone. The palate has a juicy texture and lovely pure acidity. This wraps itself around concentrated flavours of elderflower, lemon zest and crushed herbs. The finish is minerally, refined and persistent. Aging potential of 5 years.
