This is loaded with zesty blackberry and raspberry fruit, offering a vibrant structure and appealing accents of toasted sage, white pepper and licorice. Drink now through 2027. Score - 90. (Tim Fish, winespectator.com, 2016)
Spicy, lush black fruit of Alexander Valley. Briary and raspberry flavours, along with structure, of cooler Dry Creek Valley. Balanced and elegantly structured.
The Seghesio family makes a serious case for Zinfandel being a noble varietal capable of age-able wines that offer more than a bit more. Starting in 1896 in Sonoma, the family can today boast some special old vine holdings in Sonoma and extensive knowledge to making these wines. An outstanding vintage, this 2012 is a ready to go.
