Tasting note
For only clocking in at 13% abv, this is remarkably full in body and rich in texture, with hints of smoke highlighting citrus and stone fruit. The finish is particularly notable for its fine chalk dust and silk feel. Score - 90. (Joe Czerwinski, Wine Enthusiast, March 2016)
Pungent passion fruit and grapefruit aromas with a complex lees note underlying. Generous fruit flavours and enhanced textures through lees aging have given this wine great interest across the palate.
Passion fruit, ripe melon, herbal notes and hints of mineral come through on the nose. The fruit follows on the palate with great weight and crisp acidity. Great with cold salads, poultry and seafood dishes.
Juicy and clean, this is a bright and floral wine with that is more tart, vegetal and mineral than sweet and ripe. It is very refreshing. Wine & Spirits 90 Points.
