Tasting note

The 2011 season was marked by temperatures that were lower than normal and cold nights during the ripening period. This allowed us to harvest-a little later than usual-fresh fruit with tremendous Cabernet Sauvignon expression and produce a wine that maintains the Don Melchor personality with great freshness, balance and elegance in the tannins.

Starting with advice and encouragement with Bordeaux consultants in the 1980s, the first vintage was released in 1987. With pleasure, we offer the 2010 vintage which is exceptionally priced for its Wine Spectator 95 point rating and #9 on the Wine Spectator Top 100 list of 2014. Can cellar for 10-15 years.
