Tasting note

Aromas of concentrated blackberries, mulberries and earthiness give way to flavours of sweet blood plums, dark chocolate and caramelized vegetables. The fine silky tannins are integrated with lingering sweet fruit characters and balanced acidity. "Deep purple-crimson; a particularly complex bouquet and palate, with allspice, pepper, licorice and tar (why not?); the tannins are fine, the medium-bodied palate long and even, the finish with a juicy farewell." Pair with chargrilled lamb cutlets with dried cherries and toasted pine nut wild rice.
