Tasting note
Wonderful depth of fruit to this wine with blackcurrants, spices, mints and flowers. Full body, firm and silk tannins and a fresh finish. Tight and polished red. This needs another three of four years to come together but shows style and beauty. Superb second wine from Ornellaia. Score - 94. (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Aug. 5, 2015)
Under the cherry-red colour, the nose is intense and complex. Enjoy this dry, full-bodied and woody red featuring refreshing acidity. On the palate, it showcases firm tannins and a broad mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.
