Tasting note

Terrific concentration to this superb find from this winery from an acclaimed producer. Notes of black cherry and plum are densely poised on the textured palate with good tension. A touch of smoke and black pepper add dimension. Excellent length with just a hint of smoky herbs on the finish. An impressive Bordelaise inspired blend. Score - 90. Deep purple-black color with a rich bouquet of sweet pipe tobacco, vanilla, black currant jam, blueberry and oak. Rich, warm flavors of ripe sweet fruits such as plum, blueberry, blackberry and cherry are laced with baking spices. The extra-dry finish lingers with notes of black tea, cocoa, plum, blueberry, tart blackberry and white pepper.
