Tasting note
Sourced from 30 something year old vines in the Rioja Alavesa, then 24 months in American and French oak, as is the way of the Reserva. Cherry cola, spice, sage - fragrant and seductive. Medium bodied, silky, spicy and layered, strawberry and cherry flavour, even acidity, and a well balanced clove spiced finish. So smooth, as Rioja Reserva can be. Drink 2015-2019. Score - 91. Under the garnet colour, the nose is medium and complex. Enjoy this dry, medium-bodied and woody red featuring lively acidity. On the palate, it showcases fleshy tannins and a broad mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.
