Tasting note
Inky ruby. Burnished aromas and flavors of dark plum, blackberry jam, coffee, cocoa, flint and dried flowers. Plusher and sweeter than the 2011 Adrano, showing a more voluptuous texture and greater breadth. Surprisingly sound acidity gives this long, rich, flinty wine a savory character and very nice definition. Strikes me as being one of the better vintages of Rosso del Duca. Drinking window: 2017-2024. Score - 91. (Ian D'Agata, vinous.com, May 2015)
Purplish red in colour, this red boasts a medium nose exuding woody, floral and fruity aromas. Discover this full-bodied wine expressing lively acidity and offering a broad texture and fleshy tannins. It also unveils a medium mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.
