Tasting note

This cellar-dweller has it all -- it's medium bodied, well balanced, structured and concentrated with velvety texture; it's chockful of fruit, excellent tang, a lengthy finish and time on its side via a solid whack of still-evolving tannin. Pick up three or more popping corks annually beginning in 2019. Patience and careful cellaring should be handsomely rewarded. Score - 4 Stars (out of 5). At release, the wine showcases layers of ripe, dark fruit alongside rich fruit cake characters. The mouthfeel is exactly as you would expect with a velvety softness. Oak maturation has delivered flavours of vanilla, mocha and subtle spice finish has a pleasing degree of elegance.
