Tasting note
The Chardonnay Riva Ranch from Wente's Arroyo Seco vineyard is medium yellow gold in color and displays a warm, waxy hazelnut and golden tropical fruit nose. Aged for 8 months in oak, it has lovely mouth feel, full and rich in lanolin, good flavor and toasted oak. Refined and rich tasting. Score - 90. (Mike Potashnik, i-winereview.com, Jan. 10, 2014)
*Available only in the BC Liquor Store at the Vancouver International Wine Festival Feb. 26-28, 2015.* This medium-bodied Chardonnay has a rich, golden color and aromas and flavours of tropical fruit, honey, cinnamon and light floral notes, balanced by subtle oak, butter and vanilla from barrel aging. It has a round mouth feel and a long, fruity finish.
