Dark brown colour with a hint of red. Vanilla and a hint of spice on the nose. Vanilla, cloves and cinnamon on the palate.

The Kraken is imported black rum from the Caribbean blended with 11 spices which include vanilla, cinnamon, lime and clove.

Like the Kraken’s ink, the Kraken rum is black and powerful. Unlike the Kraken’s ink; however, the rum is distilled in pot stills on the Virgin Islands and fermented from naturally sweet molasses made from sugar cane grown on nearby riverbanks. Natural yeasts are used to ferment the water-thinned molasses, which is converted directly into alcohol. The rum is distilled to 97.5% alcohol. Kraken rum is then aged in oak barrels for between 12 and 24 months before being blended with a range of spices including cinnamon, ginger and clove.

Kraken is an imported black rum from the Caribbean and blended with more than 11 secret spices. It takes its name from the mythical sea beast that is said to have wreaked havoc on tall ships and rum-running vessels throughout history. Kraken’s smooth taste can be enjoyed on its own or as a key ingredient in traditional rum-based cocktails. Like the beast, this over-proof rum is deep, dark and mysterious!
