Note de dégustation
Note de dégustation (anglais)
The liqueur fruits stand out with notes of mint and cocoa over a base of tobacco
Recognizable regional style, a sense of place and authenticity, a perfect example of balance. This wine demonstrates a bright intense cherry color. It is attractive and intense on the nose with red fruits and blackberry standing out, with notes of spices, clove and chocolate on the base. Full on the mouth, fresh and fruity with sweet tannins. Complex and enveloping.
Butter, dill, coconut, earth and moss aromas are convincing as is the palate of berry, fig and spice flavors. Drink now through 2015. Rioja wines are elegant, original and have the unmistakable character of great wines, something which is only possible when grape varieties, vine-growing methods and winemaking procedures have been honed over time. It has been a traditional practice by the bodegas to blend different grape varieties and wines from different vineyards and towns. This is undoubtedly the bestknown kind of Rioja although bodegas are increasingly offering a rich variety of styles which aim to express the traits of specific vineyards. With Tempranillo as the main element, Rioja reds are very balanced in their alcohol content, colour and acidity, have a body and structure offset perfectly by a gentle and elegant flavour and are mainly fruity in nature when young and more velvety when aged. Rioja wines are highly versatile when combining with the most varied of foods.
