Note de dégustation (anglais)

Cabernet flavours are most evident on the nose, with red bell pepper, currants, cedar and mint, but the palate is where all of the other grapes from the blend come together seamlessly, each bringing a crucial component to the final wine. Plenty of dark, dusty cocoa and espresso flavours contribute to a good earthy backbone, while blackberries, black Kalamata olives, prunes and currants provide healthy fruit character. An Okanagan dusty sage element adds another layer of complexity, which becomes a slight minty element on the long, beautiful, chocolaty finish. Drink now with a premium cut of steak.
Liquor Marts
The wine begins with a lovely aroma of spicy black cherry. That leads to vibrant flavours of black cherry and cassis, with notes of vanilla and mocha. Decanting brings out the rich texture of this elegant wine. The Okanagan Valley is a geological jumble, being established over millions of years to what we can see today. But it only took one vintage to establish that Painted Rock has discovered a unique location on the Skaha Bluffs for premium wines. Now on their third release, the 2009 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and 1 percent Syrah. Ruby-black in color, there is a meaty intensity, combining with ripe berry fruit and oak complexities. A firm palate with softness of concentration and ripe tannins suggest this will need some time in the cellar to be best appreciated. Awarded 2012 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in British Columbia Wine.
