Tasting note
Prairie rye sourced from local farms help create this deep golden amber coloured rye. Expect aromas of molasses, spice, sponge toffee, smoke, candied orange peel with cedar notes; rich and smooth on the palate with flavours of spice, vanilla/sweet oak, toffee, dried fruit and toasty nut with brown sugar notes on the finish
Flavors of vanilla, smoke, sweet oak, plum and blackcurrants.
When sipping Dark Horse, you can experience a horseshoe shaped pattern on your tongue, with some sour and spice on the sides and sweetness on the tip. It imparts flavours of vanilla, smoke, sweet oak, and savory dried fruit such as plum and blackcurrant. Dark Horse is a very front finishing whisky, and very smooth. Delicious and rich, the unique character of our whisky makes it the perfect drink to celebrate special occasions with friends.
