Tasting note
Tawny/amber colour; baked apple, pear, citrus notes; medium-dry with nutty, dried fruit flavours
An aged wine with well-integrated honey, apricot, walnut and ginger scents. Slightly earthy, with a smooth, off-dry and soft palate.
Pale straw in colour. Assertive, yeasty, crusty-bread nose. Clean and tangy with a refreshing finish and a softness which makes it elightfully easy to drink. Perfect as a chilled aperitif, accompanied by “ tapas” of olives, shellfish, ham, cheese, fish, snacks or sushi. It is one of the rare wines which will happily partner dishes containing vinegar.
As featured in Taste Magazine, Spring 2013. Medium-bodied and amber in colour, this amontillado has been aged in barrels, giving it a smoky bourbon-like nose. Nutty dried fruit flavours and medium sweetness will pair well with the sweet vanilla and almond flavours of this dessert.
