Tasting note
... This is a very good example of what's coming out. It shows nicely extracted flavours that are well defined and nuanced, all riding on a broad seam of fresh acidity. Together they're nicely integrated with the soft tannins, and this makes an excellent choice for grilled salmon or duck breast, roast beet salad, or (thinking ahead) roast turkey and cranberries. Score - 4 Stars (out of 5). (Rod Phillips, rodphillipsonwine.com, May 10, 2010)
Forrest floor, Raspberry and dried cherries, dominate the nose with hints of mushroom, dried herbs and mint. The sweet fruited entry is joined by flavors of vanilla, cedar and dried cherries. This medium bodied wine has an attractive viscosity and fine tannin structure. The winemaker has delivered a cheerful and accessible Pinot Noir.
As Featured in TASTE Magazine, Summer 2012. The nose has plentiful aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, spicy dark plum and suggestions of mushroom. Attractive dried herb notes are also evident. Upfront, the palate shows red and dark fruits, with cherries, strawberries and a hint of earthiness. A pleasantly textured wine with fine tannins and a medium weight.
