Tasting note
This has a classy, new retro label but I am more delighted to see this called syrah not shiraz, as the peppery, meaty, black cherry flavours are much more in keeping with French styling despite a softness and sweetness you expect to find in shiraz. It's medium-full bodied, initially fleshy and smooth with a smoky finish, considerable tannin and alcohol. Very good length and very good value. Drink over the next three years. Tasted March 2011. Score - 89. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, March 16, 2011)
Ruby in colour, this red boasts a medium nose exuding woody, empyreumatic, spicy and fruity aromas. Discover this full-bodied wine expressing refreshing acidity and offering a broad texture and fleshy tannins. It also unveils a intense mouthfeel that leads into a medium finish.
