Tasting note
A delicious Barbera made in a crowd-pleasing style. This is very dark ruby/purple in colour with aromas of plum, bumbleberry pie filling, pie crust and floral notes. It's dry, medium bodied with concentrated ripe fruit flavours balanced by bright acidity leading to a medium length finish. Soft-textured and drinking well now, this will delight with pasta in a rosé sauce with grilled sausages, veal parmigiana, grilled or roasted chicken or a savoury oven-baked pizza. (VINTAGES panel, Jan. 2012)
This dry garnet coloured wine features medium animal, empyreumatic, spicy, fruity and vegetal scents and offers a broad texture as well as fleshy tannins.
