Tasting note

This dry, medium-bodied and woody red displays a complex and medium nose. On the palate, its refreshing acidity, fleshy tannins, and broad texture precede a medium finish.

Nipozzano Vecchie Viti boasts a ruby red colour, luminous and brilliant. The nose opens with very ripe fruits: cherry, strawberry and raspberry are prominent. Sweet scents of cotton candy and wile rose and notes of walnut and walnut husks. Spicy notes follow such as cloves, star anise; the finish is minerally. The palate is persisitent and fresh, very smooth. Serving Suggestions: Pairs well with classic dishes such as ribolita, a dense Tuscan soup, pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and cannelloni stuffed with meat and bechamel sauce. Excellent with roasted or grilled red meats.
