Tasting note

This 'select late harvest' riesling is not as sweet as icewine, so it has a slimmer feel. It shows bright, ripe pear, yellow plum, honey and waxy notes on the nose. It's medium weight and medium sweet with brilliant, riveting lemony acidity. The length is excellent. Score - 90. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Feb. 25, 2017)

On the nose, classic Bartlett pear and lemon meringue aromas emerge over top notes of candied orange peel, golden raisins and allspice. The palate is sweet and full in body yet not cloying, echoing in flavor the aromas of the nose along with notes of black tea, honeycomb and brown sugar. Crisply structured throughout, the wine’s brilliant acidity provides a clean, elegant finish reminiscent of orange marmalade and crème brûlée.
