Tasting note
Bright violet color. Dark berries, woodsmoke, licorice and dried flowers on the assertive nose. Fresh and energetic, offering sweet blueberry and blackberry flavors that gain spiciness and power with air. Zesty acidity adds focus and bite to the long, sappy, fruit-driven finish shaped by dusty tannins. Score - 90-92. (Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar, Jan./Feb. 2014)
Under the purplish red colour, the nose is medium and complex. Enjoy this dry, medium-bodied and fruity red featuring refreshing acidity. On the palate, it showcases firm tannins and a broad mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.
A wine that symbolizes concentration, deep purple reflections; bursting with black fruits, exotic spices, roast, hints of cocoa. The marriage of the power of black licorice fineness of the violet is perfectly expressed. Silky tannins dominate their amplitude, suggesting a bright future. Meats simmered rich and powerful like a Provençal daube, time will make this a charming companion to game birds, stews and cheeses.
