Tasting note
Sweet dark cherries, smoke, graphite and grilled herbs flesh out in the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley, a voluptuous, racy wine that captures the essence of the vintage. Firm yet well-integrated tannins support the fruit in a powerful, structured Cabernet Sauvignon that delivers tons of quality for the money. Drinking window: 2016-2024. Score - 92. (Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, Jan. 2015)
Under the cherry-red colour, the nose is intense and complex. Enjoy this dry, full-bodied and woody red featuring refreshing acidity. On the palate, it showcases fleshy tannins and a broad mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.
*Available at the Vancouver Wine Festival Store* Bright aromas of blackberry, red currant, cassis and hints of cedar box are inviting on this Cabernet. The wine is concentrated and structured, with a plush fruit core of dark berry fruit.
