Tasting note
This very attractive chardonnay was aged sur lie for six months in American and French barrels, 15% new. The oak treatment is perceptible in the texture and enriches the flavours without interfering with their purity. The fruit is clean, polished, and nicely layered, and it's complemented by fresh, bright acidity that makes the wine eminently drinkable. I like this in its youthful phase, but you could easily age it another four or five years. Score - 4 1/2 Stars (out of 5). (Rod Phillips, rodphillipsonwine.com, May 2016)
This dry golden yellow coloured wine features medium woody, empyreumatic, spicy, floral and fruity scents and offers a full-bodied texture.
"Bright and jazzy, with pretty pineapple, grapefruit, elderflower and spice flavours that linger on the finish without excess weight. This just floats on for a while. Drink now through 2012." 90 Points - Wine Spectator on the 2008 vintage
