Tasting note
This dry ruby coloured wine features intense animal, woody, empyreumatic, spicy, fruity, mineral and vegetal scents and offers a broad texture as well as firm tannins.
“The final blend of 58% Cabernet Franc and 42% Merlot hit 14% natural alcohol. The yields were a low 20 hectoliters per hectare, and the wine reflects that. It is more evolved than many of the St-Émilions in 2010, but perhaps the Cabernet Franc is giving it that wonderful juicy blueberry and floral set of aromatics. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, pure, surprisingly complex already, rich, savory, broad and long. It is not a blockbuster in the style of Troplong Mondot or Larcis Ducasse, for example, but it is a savory, complex, finely tuned wine to drink over the next 15+ years.” 90+ pts, Wine Advocate
