Tasting note

Gorgeous aromas of spice box, dark coffee and truffle announce a light-on-its-feet flow of palate-bathing red and black currant garnished with herbs. Perceptible tannin dominates the dry finish and aftertaste. Aerate/decant three hours serving with meat-laden pizza or pasta in tomato sauce. Score - 3 1/2 Stars (out of 5). The colour is an intense ruby red with faintly garnet tones. The initial aromatic sensations are sweetish and vanilla-like, typical of wines matured in barriques. The clean, ethereal bouquet then highlights Sangiovese's spicy notes. On the palate we find again very well-integrated oak which soon gives way to hints of wild berries and fruit preserve and to that nuance of spices perceived in the nose.

Its taste is full and rotund and lingers in your mouth. This Sangiovese wine has rich nuances of wild berries, spices and well-integrated oak. Try with peppery grilled steak or meat topped pizza.
