Tasting note
Chablis has a long-standing reputation for distinct and expressive Chardonnays and yet, producers in the iconic region are not resting on their laurels. Innovation and experimentation are alive even here. Domaine Séguinot-Bordet employs a state-of-the-art cylindrical fermentation tank that allows the juice greater contact with skins and lees, creating richer, more intense and more concentrated wines than was possible before. Creamy and bursting with ripe, tangy citrus fruit and that lovely Chablis minerality, this is a taut and long wine that packs a (relative) punch, while maintaining its classic style. (Vintages panel, March 2016)
Under the greenish yellow colour, the intense and complex nose evokes spicy, floral, fruity and mineral notes. On the palate, it offers a slender mouthfeel that leads into a medium finish. Enjoy this dry, medium-bodied and fruity white featuring refreshing acidity.
