Tasting note

(from vines on poor rocky soil at an altitude of 6,200 feet; aged entirely in new oak, 70% French and 30% American): Saturated medium ruby. Musky, slightly high-toned aromas of blackberry, mocha, licorice and violet, lifted by a peppery nuance. At once smooth and vibrant, with strong, harmonious acidity framing the penetrating flavors of blackberry, spices, violet, licorice and herbs. Plenty of oak here but nicely supported by intense fruit. Not at all a sweet style, but finishes with suave tannins, a whiff of herbs and excellent length. Score - 90. (Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, March/April 2013)
LCBO
Bright cherry red with intense purple tones. The colored tears formed in the glass show the excellent structure and great concentration of this wine. Lovely intense plum jam notes with a nice presence of oaked vanilla and raisins. Amazing sweet and round tannins. A unique harmonic experience where the tastes of mature red fruits, chocolate and fine oak combine perfectly. Persistent finish and an elegant bouquet.
Alcool NB Liquor
A rich, toasty red, delivering loads of dark plum and cassis fruit that slowly gives ways to a long finish of mulled spices, maduro tobacco and iron.
