Tasting note
Brick red colour; pronounced cherry and floral aromas; extra dry with high acidity, medium body and firm tannins; flavours are a replay of the nose, with sour cherry, leather and earthy notes; lengthy finish and significant potential for improving with age.
After a long fermentation the wine is aged for at least 2 years including one year in large oak barrels. This lengthy extraction produces a garnet red wine with an attractive, intense nose redolent of violets and spices. It produces a rich, well structured wine that evolves over time to develop an austere complexity, yet velvety smooth in mouth. It is recommended you open the wine a few hours prior to service.
