Tasting note
Pinotage is a cross of Pinot Noir and Cinsault that was created in the Welgevallen experimental farm in Stellenbosch in 1925. It has become a signature South African style. Fairview's 2015 is fruity, with notions of strawberry and dark cherry. Rich, ripe and smooth, with excellent balance, this will make a nice barbecue wine, especially with pork ribs.
