Tasting note
Made from grapes from the northern Okanagan Valley, the Gray Monk Pinot Gris has a light pink hue with aromas of peaches, orange peel and yellow apple. Quite fruity, luscious and off-dry with refreshing balanced acidity. Light to medium bodied with a long finish. A good companion for grilled salmon or roasted pork loin. Tasted June 2015. Score - 88. (Janet Dorozynski Dip WSET, Ph.D., winealign.com, July 27, 2015)
Intense aroma of pink grapefruit and pineapple. Flavours of citrus fruits and apricots.
Pale lemon in color, this wine had an intense aroma of pink grapefruit, pineapple, and flavors of citrus fruits and apricots. Lively and piquant, this wine is refreshingly zesty and clean. It is a versatile partner to seafood, pasta with cream sauce, white meats, and cheeses such as Parmigiano.
This crowd pleaser offers grapefruit and apricot aromas, while balancing intensity and freshness with a lick of sweetness on the finish. With hints of apple and green plum, this BC Pinot Gris is excellent with salmon any style.
