Tasting note

This is a quite charming, tender and nicely ripe pinot. Some Niagara pinots from this hot vintage are very extracted and powerful, but this one is supple and refined with pleasant cherry fruit nicely accented by wood spice, cedar and autumnal earthiness. There is some sourness but also pleasant fruit sweetness. Fairly tannic but balanced. Age it one year. Very good length. Tasted November 2015. Score - 90. Medium ruby red colour; aromas of raspberry, cherry and spice with light tobacco notes; dry, medium bodied, quite fruity with oak tones on finish.
