Tasting note
Purplish red in colour, this red boasts a medium nose exuding spicy, floral, fruity and vegetal aromas. Discover this full-bodied wine expressing refreshing acidity and offering a broad texture and fleshy tannins. It also unveils a intense mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.
Henschke Henry’s Seven is a Shiraz, Grenache, Viognier and Mourvédre blend that is a tribute to Henry Evans, who planted the first vineyard of seven acres at Keyneton in 1853. He quickly developed a reputation for producing the best wines in the southern colony. This wine is deep crimson in colour with lifted, floral aromas of blackberries, plums, anise and cedar with sage, pepper and mace notes. It has sweet, ripe, berry fruit flavours on a complex, layered palate of great depth and length. Cellaring and Pairing Suggestions: The Henry's Seven pairs well with grilled lamb that is seasoned with a spice mixture, such as a minty Turkish baharat.
