Tasting note
Featuring an art label by Gordon Halloran who paints on ice, this Olympic commemorative icewine is quite typical Niagara vidal icewine, now evolved with orange-amber colour and a generous nose of dried apricot, tangerine, tea and honey. It's very sweet but braced by terrific acidity of the 2006 vintage. Mouthwatering orangy finish. Excellent length. Best 2009 to 2013. Score - 94. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, 2009)
Under the golden yellow colour, the intense and simple nose evokes fruity and vegetal notes. On the palate, it offers a unctuous mouthfeel that leads into a long finish. Enjoy this sweet and fruity white featuring light acidity.
