Tasting note

Inky purple; notes of blackberry, plum, anise, and eucalyptus; full body; palate develops into a velvety combination of black fruit and cocoa bean leading to a smooth medium spiced finish with soft tannins.

Bright black fruits on the nose with a subtle spice component. The palate is rich with firm savoury tannins and a long, generous finish. Barbecued eye fillet, served with panseared mushrooms, green beans and creamy potato mash.

The wine is bright crimson in colour and medium bodied, with vibrant flavours of red berries, subtle herbal character and an overall savoury quality to the finish which is a perfect match for food. Lifted, fragrant aromatics of raspberry, plum and chocolate lead to a palate that is quite powerful, yet soft and fresh.
