Tasting note
The 2012 La Clape Epervier is outstanding, with classic savoriness in its roasted meats, licorice, toasted spice and ripe fruit. Medium to full-bodied, with solid mid-palate depth and plenty of ripe tannin, give it a year in bottle and enjoy it through 2022. The blend is 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache that's aged 24 months in 70% tank and 30% larger barrels. Score - 90. (Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com, April 2015)
