Tasting note
Dark red. Charred black fruits and smoky oak on the nose, with hints of tar and menthol. Then sweet but restrained on the palate, with a firm edge of acidity to the currant and sour cherry flavors; much less roasted than the nose suggests. A fairly dense midweight that finishes with hints of licorice and herbs. Score - 88. (Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, Jan./Feb. 2010)
This dry, full-bodied and fruity red displays a simple and intense nose. On the palate, its refreshing acidity, fleshy tannins, and full-bodied texture precede a long finish.
Intense ruby red colour. Complex, with a mix of red berries and spicy aromas of clove and black pepper. Also some delicate notes of chocolate and coffee that come from its time in oak. Spice combines with toasted notes and the characteristic red berry fruit of Malbec. A structured complex wine, with pleasant tannins which brings sweetness and a long finish. Ideal with grilled meats, ragouts, homemade pasta with strongly flavoured sauces and mild or mature cheeses.
