Tasting note
... mingles ripe dark cherry, plum and cassis with marrow-rich savory suggestions of meat stock. Salt, stone, iodine, mocha and toasted nuts add intrigue to a sustained finish in this lovely, tenderly textured and relatively gentle offering ... An outstanding value, it should reward following at least through 2017 and quite possibly beyond. Score - 91. (David Schildknecht, robertparker.com, June 2013)
Purplish red in colour, this red boasts a medium nose exuding spicy, floral and fruity aromas. Discover this medium-bodied wine expressing lively acidity and offering a broad texture and fleshy tannins. It also unveils a medium mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.
Medium-full bodied and elegant with flavors of ripe red berries, strawberry, raspberry, cherry, mocha and spice with some floral notes. Enjoy young, slightly chilled with roast turkey, chicken or veal. You will be able to appreciate it with stronger foods after several years of aging accompanying delicate meat dishes as well as most cheeses.
Jadot is a Burgundy house making Beaujolais and it shows. Complex flavours make this wine a perfect match for lamb chops and berry jus.
