Tasting note
Bright, deep crimson; there is nothing half-hearted about this wine, rather it is a pure evocation of cool grown cabernet, its texture and structure allowing cassis and mulberry fruit, and contrasting touches of black olive, free play, tannin and oak in the backdrop. Seriously attractive. Drink By: 2033. Special Value. Score - 95. (James Halliday, winecompanion.com.au, Oct. 6, 2016)
91 POINTS Robert Parker - Pronounced cassis, graphite, cedar, lavender, earth, tar and tobacco leaf aromas with a whiff of black olives. Rich, opulent and spicy in the mouth with tons of dark berry fruit, it is not shy on the structure either giving crisp acid and medium-firm grainy tannins that lend a taut backbone through the long finish. Delicious now, it should keep drinking well until 2016 .
Very deep garnet-purple in color, it reveals intense warm black currant and black cherry preserve aromas with underlying earth, soy and black olive notes plus nuances of Mediterranean herbs, bay leaf and dark chocolate. Wine Advocate 91 Points
