Tasting note
Deep, rich aromas and flavours of cassis, blackberry, dates, vanilla and chocolate. Plump and mouthfilling with velvety-smooth texture, and some structure-lending tannins in the background. Fire up the barbecue with some beef ribs or lamb burgers. (VINTAGES panel, March 2012)
This dry and purplish red coloured red showcases a complex nose releasing woody, empyreumatic, fruity and vegetal scents. You will be charmed with this full-bodied wine revealing a broad texture, fleshy tannins and a long finish.
Ripe plums, black berries, juicy and balanced by fine tannins. Subtle and elegant toast from ageing oak. Finish lingers powerfully and pleasantly.
Carmènére (30%) is a great varietal to blend, offering a ripe, spicy, fruit character to the currant flavour and structure of the Cabernet Sauvignon (70%). The wine is excellent offering pure fruit concentration which comes from the unique growing situation at the Ninquén (Plateau on a Mountain) vineyard in Colchagua where there is a great exposure to the Antu (sun).
