Plump and generous, with opulent ripe plum, black cherry and fresh mint flavors that gain extra dimension from mocha, gingerbread and toasted cumin seed notes. Shows impressive torque on the long finish. Drink now through 2030. Score - 92. (MaryAnn Worobiec, winespectator.com, May 31, 2016)
This dry and ruby coloured red showcases a complex nose releasing woody, empyreumatic, spicy, fruity and vegetal scents. You will be charmed with this full-bodied wine revealing a broad texture, fleshy tannins and a long finish.
The palate is tight and full-bodied with pronounced, well-defined powdery tannins and oak totally absorbed by a wash of licorice and berry fruits. Peak drinking now and for the next 20 years.
Cherry-vanilla, blackberry, cola and fresh violet on the nose, with a touch of white pepper adding vibrancy. Lush and creamy, with sweet dark fruit flavors and a good dose of vanilla oak and baking spices. Finishes with good focus, energy and lingering spiciness.
Deep crimson purple. Impressively powerful with intense blueberry, blackberry, liquorice aromas and dark chocolate, ginger, marzipan, oak nuances. A substantial palate with remarkable richness and concentration. Saturated blackberry essence, juicy fruit, liquorice, aniseed flavours are balanced by abundant ripe generous tannins and plenty of vanilla, malt, ginger oak notes. It finishes chocolatey firm with tremendous drive and depth of flavour.
Medium weight and firm in texture, Bin 389 is packed with dark berry, tar, black olive and warm brick flavours on a juicy frame. The tannins have grip, so give this one a few years aging for the best results. Best from 2013 to 2018. Wine Spectator, 90 pts
