The 2013 vintage was strong across California, delivering ripe, complex tannins for reds, and Joel Peterson's petite sirah is in fine form, bold but not hot or leathery, lasting on a chewy fruit-skin texture that releases scents of cassis and peppercorn spice in the finish.
