Tasting note

Sourced from vines that were planted in 1984, this is a wine that toys with being off-dry. There's a wealth of mineral, green apple and snappy citrus, with super vibrancy and balance from the acidity. Just a hint of petrol adds nice complexity. Have it tonight with a seafood platter or pork, or follow its development for 5+ years. (Vintages panel, Aug. 2016)

Dry and full bodied with intense acidity. Apple, citrus and spice on the palate. Attractive in its youth, this wine will develop secondary characteristics and improve with three to eight years cellaring. The brininess of shrimp, scallops, mussels and clams are great with this wine. Also pairs well with pasta served with white sauce.
