Tasting note

Machine-harvested, open and closed fermentation, cultured yeast, 7 days post-ferment maceration, matured for 14 months in new and used French oak. This has a most unusual spicy/clovey bouquet, and a palate that suggests a cool climate or lowish alcohol. Well, it's' none of those, and restasting pulls you back to McLaren Vale in short order, bitter dark chocolate flying from the top of the main mast. Interesting? You bet. Right price? You bet.
