Tasting note
Established in 1880, Santa Rita has long been one of Chile's shining lights. Winemakers Cecilia Torres and Andrés Ilabaca keep the fires burning with this terroir-focused Cabernet, sourced from the estate's oldest and finest vineyards. The wine suggests impressive cassis and black fruit. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2015)
Ruby red. Aromas of ripe red and black fruits mingling with tar and menthol undertones, balanced by wood notes evoking vanilla and toast. Its vigorous flavours, ripe tannins and majestic body conclude in a complex and persistent finish.
Deep ruby-red in color, with a bouquet of black fruits such as black currants, blueberries, and blackberries with dried figs, cigar box, and spice notes. The concentrated palate offers well-rounded ripe tannins that create the prominent backbone that leads the wine on to a long, lingering finish.
Featured in TASTE Magazine, Winter 2012 issue. This wine shows a deep ruby colour with a complex aroma of ripe red and black fruits mingled with leather and spice. The smooth and concentrated palate of meat and dark fruit is balanced by vanilla, toasty oak notes and supple tannins.
