Tasting note
[translated from the Spanish] The warm 2009 vintage has given some sweetness to the fruit in this Cabernet, but the variety has that firm structure and tension as well as great depth to balance off those sweeter flavours in the wine. One hundred per cent Alto Jahuel, the quintessential terroir in Santa Rita Cabernet. Score - 92. (Patricio Tapia, Descorchados, 2013)
This dry and cherry-red coloured red showcases a complex nose releasing woody, spicy, fruity and vegetal scents. You will be charmed with this full-bodied wine revealing a broad texture, fleshy tannins and a medium finish.
Ruby red. Aromas of ripe red and black fruits mingling with tar and menthol undertones, balanced by wood notes evoking vanilla and toast. Its vigorous flavours, ripe tannins and majestic body conclude in a complex and persistent finish.
Deep ruby-red in color, with a bouquet of black fruits such as black currants, blueberries, and blackberries with dried figs, cigar box, and spice notes. The concentrated palate offers well-rounded ripe tannins that create the prominent backbone that leads the wine on to a long, lingering finish.
Featured in TASTE Magazine, Winter 2012 issue. This wine shows a deep ruby colour with a complex aroma of ripe red and black fruits mingled with leather and spice. The smooth and concentrated palate of meat and dark fruit is balanced by vanilla, toasty oak notes and supple tannins.
